Prof Yitmen has been employed at the School of Engineering in Jönköping University since February 2018, as an Associate Professor of Management in Construction Production. The primary research focus is in mainly on innovation in construction regarding digital transformation in AEC industry. Recent special interest concerns how integrated planning, construction and operation & maintenance processes can be created for customizing and optimizing the performance of building and the assets. This entails the integration of building performance assessment approaches (i.e Level(s) Framework) during the life cycle of the building and the assets. For instance, how digital technologies (Digital Twins, AI, Blockchain), tools and applications can be efficiently used for information management and performance assessment of buildings in a smart built environment.
Dr. Géza Fischl, architect and assistant professor at Jönköping University, integrates architectural engineering, environmental psychology, and digital innovation. His research advances smart and healthy urban spaces, digital twins, and AI-driven design tools. He is program coordinator for Sustainable Building Information Management, bridging human-centred spatial experience with technologically enhanced sustainability and pedagogical development.
